Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed
  • Meet individual and team sales goals
  • Manage a team of 20 to 40 sales agents
  • Ensure personal and team adherence to company policy protocols
  • Ensure communication and compliance with proper messaging to team
  • Ensure sales agents are properly equipped with current tools and materials
  • Provide sales coaching, motivation, and training to sales agents
  • Lead by example by maintaining messaging and brand identity during the sales process
  • Lead by example by fulfilling personal sales goals and expectations
  • Work with other team members to support agent recruitment activities
  • Work with other team members to locate and secure new sales venues
  • Work with other team members to ensure sales venues are properly equipped with materials and appropriate staffing for optimal sales results
  • Sell/close prospects for Green Mountain Energy® Pollution Free® Electricity products
  • Sell/close prospects for NRG Home Electricity products
  • Supervise event sales shifts and sell with all agents at all venues
  • Provide detailed weekly and monthly performance reports to the Area Sales Manager, including individual agent performance, sales opportunity results, customer feedback, and other data
  • Attend and / or host sales meetings
  • Complete tasks and deliverables correctly and on-time
  • Workload is split 90% in the field, 10% in the office including year round outdoor activity and weekends
  • Travel is required and vehicle ownership is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Strong time-management skills
  • 3 years of face-to-face, B2B sales or other customer-facing experience preferred
  • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to close short sales cycle
  • Non-profit or service contract sales experience a plus
  • Understand sales techniques and response to customer needs
  • Knowledge of energy and/or market deregulation strongly preferred
  • Experience selling a premium product and overcoming objections
  • Must be available to regularly work evenings and weekends
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word proficiency
